Aspire to Inspire

In a year of celebrations that includes the International School of Kenya’s 40th anniversary, the 2017 African Regional Conference for 15 - 18 year olds took place at ISK on March 21st to 26th, 2017. The Conference theme was “Aspire to Inspire”. During the conference they explored how innovations, internationalism and democracy are impacting modern Africa. Participants had the opportunity to explore these themes through the Arts, Sports, Science and Technology.

The "BIN IT" Campaign

Cypriano Ogoti, the founder of the Environmental Journalism Society of Kenya (EJSK) an organization that brings together like minded environmentalist, journalist and conservationist with a common goal of confronting the environmental challenges that face our beautiful planet and Kenya. Together they launched a campaign in 2015 that was aimed at reducing the amount of litter on the streets, sewers, parks and residential areas.

On Friday morning we had the great pleasure to host Jane Davis, who is a Scientific Exploration Society council member, and also a good friend of one of our advisors – [John Blashford Snell][0]. Jane was born and educated in Kenya, and has lots of experience working with plastics, so naturally she was very interested to learn more about The FlipFlopi Project.
